RIVERTON, Wyo. (AP) - A Riverton man who broke into a house and stabbed a man in bed with his estranged wife has been sentenced to life in prison.

The Riverton Ranger reports (https://goo.gl/6v9WTX ) 23-year-old Jeremiah Shull was sentenced Thursday for the Oct. 19, 2014, killing of 27-year-old Jacob N. Willenbrecht, also of Riverton. A jury convicted Shull in July of first-degree murder.

Shull also was convicted of aggravated assault and strangulation for stabbing and choking his estranged wife during the attack.

She said she tried to flee the bedroom, but Shull grabbed her around the neck and threw her away from the door. He then choked her until she was unconscious.
