NEW ORLEANS (AP) - Authorities have suspended the alcohol and tobacco permits of four more clubs on New Orleans’ Bourbon Street.

The Louisiana Alcohol and Tobacco Control says Babe’s Cabaret, Big Daddy’s, Bourbon Cowboy and The Swamp all received emergency suspensions Thursday, The Times-Picayune (https://bit.ly/1Q7OCOj) reports.

Authorities said the state’s ongoing “Operation Trick or Treat” investigation has found acts of prostitution and drug activity at Babe’s Cabaret and Big Daddy’s, as well as “lewd/improper acts.” They’ve also found illegal drug sales at Bourbon Cowboy and The Swamp on Bourbon.

“We are in the second month of this operation and it will continue to run through the holidays,” ATC Commissioner Troy Hebert said in a release. “ATC will continue to do its part to weed out criminal activity at locations that are given the privilege to sell alcohol and tobacco.”

The total number of French Quarter clubs or bars accused of illegal activity is now nine. Five clubs on or near Bourbon Street had their licenses suspended last month as part of the state’s ongoing investigation.

The Louisiana State Police will determine if any criminal charges are warranted.
