CHICAGO (AP) - Chicago police say three teenagers have been shot outside a school on the city’s south side, and one is in serious to critical condition.

The Chicago Fire Department says the shooting occurred just before 1 p.m. outside Excel Southwest Academy. Fire officials say at least one of the victims ran into the school after the shooting.

It wasn’t immediately clear if any of the teenagers were students at the school.

Police spokeswoman Officer Janel Sedevic says a 17-year-old boy was shot in the torso and was listed in serious-to-critical condition. A 17-year-old girl suffered a graze wound to an ankle, and a 15-year-old boy suffered a graze wound somewhere on his body, she said. Both were listed in good condition.
