HOMINY, Okla. (AP) - Authorities say a man killed a woman before he was fatally shot by a police officer in Osage County.

According to Osage County Sheriff Ty Koch, two men and a woman were outside a residence in Hominy Thursday, and when one man began to act suicidal, the woman tried to intervene and was fatally shot.

Koch said that as the second man went to get help, the alleged shooter got into a car and drove off. Police found the man in the vehicle, and a pursuit ensued. Authorities say a Skiatook police officer saw the vehicle driving erratically when it went into a ditch.

According to Koch, the witnesses reported the man pulled a weapon after exiting the vehicle and was shot by the officer.

The Tulsa World (https://bit.ly/1XV7gdx ) reports the identities of the two people killed have not been released.
