JERSEY CITY, N.J. (AP) - Motorists who use the Pulaski Skyway to travel between Newark and Jersey City are facing detours.

The bridge will be closed in both directions between 11 p.m. Friday and 5 a.m. Monday because of drainage work and other construction as part of 83-year-old span’s rehabilitation.

The state Transportation Department says the closure includes most on and off ramps, including the southbound on ramp from Tonnele Circle.

The ramp from Route 139 westbound to I-280/Route 7 and Route 1 and 9 southbound will remain open.

The DOT advises detour signs will be posted.
