FARGO, N.D. (AP) - Horse racing will return to Fargo next year, after a one-year hiatus.

WDAY-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1Ot5uPi ) that the North Dakota Racing Commission has approved 2016 races at the North Dakota Horse Park on three weekends in July.

The racing venue is mired in debt and was denied races this year.

Commission Director Gunner IaCour says officials are considering using off-track betting proceeds to pay off park debt.
