MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) - Shelby County authorities say they will hold a mock search and rescue exercise this weekend.

The sheriff’s office in the county that includes Memphis is scheduled to hold the exercise Saturday at Wolf River Bottoms near Interstate 40.

Emergency services units will complete scenarios for land and water searches. They also will have an exercise for a lost person search.

Search and rescue units will use river boats, all-terrain vehicles, personnel carriers, mountain bikes, Segways, tracking devices, underwater cameras and search dogs.

The exercise is scheduled to run from 8:45 a.m. to 1 p.m.
