WASHINGTON (AP) - Police say they are investigating the death of a man at an upscale hotel in the nation’s capital.

Metropolitan Police Department spokesman Officer Sean Hickman said Friday night that officers were called to the Dupont Circle Hotel about 11:30 a.m. Thursday and found a man dead.

Police have not released the man’s identity. Hickman says a death investigation is being conducted.

A spokeswoman for the FBI did not immediately return a call seeking further information.

A woman who answered the phone at the hotel late Friday said a manager wouldn’t be available to speak until Monday.
