WORLAND, Wyo. (AP) - A Worland hospital has reached a settlement with a woman who claims her husband died from an overdose of medication that was administered at the facility.
The Northern Wyoming Daily News reports (https://bit.ly/1HeF1SH ) court documents filed Wednesday show that Banner Health Corporation and a Washakie Medical Center nurse have reached a settlement with Stephanie Anderson for an undisclosed monetary amount.
The wrongful death suit claims Anderson’s husband, Kevin, visited the Worland facility after experiencing abdominal pain. She alleges that her husband was given an opioid killer at the hospital and released. She found him dead the next morning.
The suit alleges that the prescription led to Kevin Anderson’s death.
The case against Banner Health and the nurse have been resolved. Litigation against a doctor at the hospital is still pending.
