SPRINGFIELD, Colo. (AP) - Authorities say an ambulance crashed into the back of a tractor on a road outside Springfield, killing one person and injuring three others.

Colorado State Patrol officials say Friday night’s collision caused the ambulance to roll onto its top.

Officials say 63-year-old Rick Hartley of Springfield died of injuries sustained in the crash. He had been riding in the back of the ambulance.

The ambulance’s 74-year-old driver and a 96-year-old man who also was riding in the back suffered minor injuries.

The 21-year-old tractor driver also sustained minor injuries.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
