ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - A 25-year-old resident at an Anchorage assisted living facility is accused of killing his caretaker.

The Alaska Dispatch News reports (https://bit.ly/1Pv4uIV) a statement from Anchorage police says officers responded to a 911 call from the man just after midnight Saturday.

The police statement quotes the man as saying 57-year-old caretaker Glenna Wyllie angered him to the point that he strangled, kicked and punched her.

Authorities found Wyllie’s body behind a basement freezer. Police officers say the 25-year-old resident told them he hid the body and left on foot.

The man is in custody at the Anchorage jail. He faces first- and second-degree murder charges.

It’s unclear whether he has an attorney.
