LOWELL, Ark. (AP) - A company that provides administrative services to state and federal agencies plans to add 50 new jobs in northwest Arkansas.

Lowell-based Central Research said Friday that the jobs will double its workforce in Lowell and the employees will be hired during the next few months. Central Research founder and CEO Johnny Dillard said the company could eventually hire up to 150 more people during the next year.

The Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reports (https://bit.ly/1iJU0IF ) that the new employees will help service a contract with the U.S. Department of Education.

The company has programs and offices in Arkansas, Virginia, Texas, Nebraska, New Mexico, Arizona and Washington, D.C., and has contracts with more than a dozen federal agencies and organizations.
