GARNER, Iowa (AP) - A retired Iowa state trooper living in Garner will face trial next month in a child pornography case after withdrawing his guilty plea to one count of possessing child pornography.

The Mason City Globe Gazette reports (https://bit.ly/1kBdHUj ) that 66-year-old David Hubbard, of Garner, will face trial on Dec. 2.

Hubbard had entered a guilty plea in August to the one count after originally being charged with three counts of misdemeanor sexual exploitation of a minor. He withdrew the plea in September.

Police say an investigation found that Hubbard possessed two photographs and one video, each involving a minor, in November 2013.

The patrol says Hubbard retired in 2004 after nearly 30 years with the department.
