AMANA, Iowa (AP) - Golfers say they hope to see a clubhouse at a popular eastern Iowa golf course rebuilt following a fire there.

Cedar Rapids television station KCRG reports (https://bit.ly/1kBcTPw ) that the fire occurred Friday morning, destroying the Amana Colonies Golf Club.

Officials say the building is a total loss, which will force the course to close through the remainder of the season and possibly longer.

The state fire marshal is investigating the cause of the fire, which has not been determined. No one was injured.

Golfer Kevin Christenson says it will probably be a while before the clubhouse is rebuilt.
