JACKSONVILLE, Ala. (AP) - Authorities are investigating a two-vehicle that claimed the life of an Indiana woman in Alabama.

Calhoun County Coroner Pat Brown tells multiple news outlets that 56-year-old Ellen Robinette Sumner of Jeffersonville, Indiana, died in an accident about eight miles from Jacksonville, Alabama. The accident occurred Friday afternoon.

Alabama State Trooper Chuck Daniel says Sumner was driving a Mercury Marquis when it collided with a GMC Envoy driven by 71-year-old Frederick Sollomon. Sumner was not wearing a seatbelt.

Daniel says 74-year-old Norma Sollomon was the passenger with Frederick and taken to Regional Medical Center.
