BALTIMORE (AP) - Police have identified two men who were fatally shot in northeast Baltimore.

Police say 37-year-old Lerell McBride and 38-year-old Robert Adams were shot shortly before 3 a.m. on a residential street. McBride died at the scene, while Adams died at a hospital.

Homicide detectives are investigating. Police have not identified any suspects.

The city has experienced a huge increase in homicides, with 291 so far this year. There were 211 slayings in Baltimore in all of 2014.

This story has been corrected to provide the correct spelling of Lerell McBride’s first name. Baltimore police previously identified him as “Larett” and “Larell.”
