FLORENCE, Ore. (AP) - Officials say thieves broke into a remote western Oregon fire station and stole about $1,200 in equipment.

Siuslaw Valley Fire and Rescue spokesman Sean Barrett tells The Register-Guard (https://bit.ly/1S6QPqy) that the theft occurred between 11 p.m. Sunday and 6 p.m. Monday at the volunteer station southeast of Florence.

Barrett says a computer, heat detector, two generators, two hand-held radios and a chain saw were among the items taken.

Barrett says a fire engine and antique fire truck used for parades were undamaged.
