TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) - All Arizona State University police officers will soon be outfitted with body cameras.

KPNX-TV in Phoenix reports (https://bit.ly/1S7q4lX) that the school purchased more than 80 cameras from Taser International earlier this month.

The department says many officers are already equipped with them in the field.

Police spokesman Bennett Elrod says footage on the cameras cannot be erased or edited.

The footage stays on the camera until it gets downloaded to a cloud system.

Elrod says each camera costs $400.

When not being worn, the body cameras will stay in a docking station to charge and unload video.
