AUGUSTA, Ga. (AP) - Authorities say two drivers have been arrested after a 4-year-old girl died in a car crash in east Georgia.

Richmond County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Lt. Allan Rollins tells the Augusta Chronicle (https://bit.ly/1Qn5zn0 ) that Destiny Dorsey died Saturday when a vehicle she rode as a passenger was struck. Dorsey was not wearing a seatbelt.

Rollins says 30-year-old Jacqueline Hopkins was the driver of the vehicle with Dorsey inside. Hopkins has been charged with child restraint violation and second-degree vehicular homicide.

Hopkins is being held at the Richmond County jail.

Rollins says 31-year-old Kimberly Dixon drove the other car that stuck the vehicle driven by Hopkins. Rollins says Dixon is charged with failure to stop at a stop sign, second-degree vehicular homicide and a violation of a learner’s permit.
