BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) - Billings officials are hoping to persuade American Airlines to offer direct, daily flights between Dallas and Billings.

A delegation from Billings traveled to Texas for a meeting Monday with officials with the airline.

The Billings Gazette reports (https://bit.ly/1SC0shP ) they are prepared to offer financial incentives in order to expand the city’s air service.

Information compiled by a consulting firm that has done work for the city and the Billings Chamber of Commerce, indicates that the Billings-to-Dallas connection would be successful for American Airlines.

Chamber President John Brewer says improving air service in Billings has been a priority for his organization for several years.
