SHERIDAN, Wyo. (AP) - The 74-foot spruce that will be put outside the U.S. Capitol for Christmas will make a stop in Sheridan this week on its journey from Alaska to Washington, D.C.

The Sheridan Press reports (https://bit.ly/1PqzFoU ) that the 2015 Capitol Christmas Tree will stop in Sheridan on Tuesday morning.

The tree was harvested from the Chugach National Forest in Alaska.

Sheridan is one of 13 communities where the tree will stop along its 5,000-mile route from Seward, Alaska.
