GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) - The Wisconsin State Patrol says a suspect remains at large after crashing a stolen car during a chase and causing a brief power outage in the Green Bay area.

Authorities say a state trooper heard a loud muffler and pulled over the vehicle late Saturday night. The vehicle pulled to the curb, then took off.

The driver skidded and lost control, jumping a curb and striking a wire supporting a power pole. One of the power lines snapped, cutting electricity for several blocks.

After the crash, the driver ran away. A police dog was used to track the suspect but lost the scent in a wooded area.

Authorities later learned the car was reported stolen. Power was restored around 1:30 a.m. Sunday.
