GLEN ROCK, Pa. (AP) - Police say one man has been arrested after a car dragged a police officer down a central Pennsylvania street last week.

Police say David Robert Achstetter was arrested Sunday morning in Gaithersburg, Maryland. He’s accused of holding the officer’s arm from a passenger side while the driver sped down a Glen Rock street. He faces aggravated assault and other charges.

They are still searching for the driver of the car.

The ordeal happened Wednesday when the officer spotted a car matching the description of a suspicious vehicle. As he approached the passenger side, police say Achstetter grabbed his arm and the driver sped off. The officer was dragged down the street for about 50 yards before he was let go.

The unnamed officer suffered an ankle injury and abrasions.
