GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) - Two men have been arrested after a woman was found shot to death at a Greenville home.

Greenville County Deputy Coroner Jeff Fowler tells media outlets that the body of 52-year-old Janet Boyd was discovered Friday.

The sheriff’s office says deputies responded to the home around 11:30 a.m. after receiving information about a possible deceased person inside.

Fowler says Boyd had been shot multiple times and died of a gunshot wound to the head.

Fowler says she was killed three days earlier.

Authorities say 40-year-old Erick Butler and 28-year-old Kentrell Lamar Gash have been charged with murder in connection with Boyd’s death. Authorities say the two men are also charged with possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

It isn’t clear if either Butler or Gash have an attorney.
