TANNERSVILLE, Pa. (AP) - An asphalt truck overturned on a rural road in Pennsylvania’s Pocono Mountains, spilling its load into a stream and injuring the driver.

WNEP-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1PxTBWS) about 22 tons of asphalt wound up in a tributary of Pocono Creek after Monday morning’s accident about six miles south of Tannersville.

The truck apparently overturned on a curve in the road, and no other vehicles were involved. The Pocono Record says (https://bit.ly/1RIp47V) the driver complained of shoulder pain and was taken to a hospital.

Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission officials are investigating.
