SMYRNA, S.C. (AP) - Hunters near Rock Hill have found the body of a Woodruff woman missing for more than a week.

Woodruff Police Chief Alan Bledsoe tells local media outlets that hunters on Sunday found the body of 71-year-old Gayle Harris in a wooded area near Smyrna.

Harris had been missing since Oct. 30 Authorities say she was last seen leaving Woodruff to go to a doctor’s appointment in Spartanburg.

Her doctor told authorities Harris recently had several mini-strokes and was on blood pressure medication.

Foul play is not suspected, but authorities are still waiting on a full autopsy report.
