BALTIMORE (AP) - Baltimore Police have arrested 12 people in connection with drugs and illegal weapons seized in Baltimore’s Brooklyn neighborhood.

Police said Monday seven more are still being sought.

The 60-day investigation was conducted in collaboration with the Baltimore office of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.

Police say some of the suspects are members are rival gangs. Some suspects facing charges are also considered persons of interest in two homicides and eight non-fatal shootings since 2013, though police would not provide further details on those crimes.

Police say eight handguns, an assault weapon, 100 grams of cocaine, 20 grams of crack, 50 grams of marijuana and $2,300 in cash was seized.
