SAN DIEGO (AP) - San Diego police say a man and a woman shot dead in a residential neighborhood were brother and sister, and the suspect is a male acquaintance who had been arguing with the siblings.

The Union-Tribune newspaper said Monday (https://bit.ly/1NZIsMF) that officials identified the gunman as 39-year-old Felipe Vega and said he is considered armed and dangerous.

Police said officers responding to reports of gunfire in the Southcrest neighborhood Sunday night found the victims in the street with gunshot wounds. They died at the scene.

Investigators say Vega is suspected of opening fire following an argument, and then running away.

The names of the victims, a man and a woman in their 20s, were withheld pending family notification.
