QUINCY, Mass. (AP) - A now-suspended Curry College student has pleaded not guilty after police found a gun and ammunition in his dorm room.

The Boston Globe reports (https://bit.ly/1NnM8VJ) 18-year-old Darius Boodoosingh was released on $10,000 cash bail after he pleaded not guilty in Quincy District Court on Monday.

The Boston resident faces a charge of carrying a firearm on school grounds and possession of drugs with intent to distribute.

Boodoosingh was arrested Friday after campus police, acting on a tip, searched his dorm and found the weapons and drugs. Prosecutors on Monday said the drugs included marijuana, mushrooms and various prescriptions medications.

The liberal arts college in Milton, a town located south of Boston, suspended Boodoosingh after his arrest.

The Globe says he’s due back in court Jan. 21.
