OXFORD, Miss. (AP) - Records show the Hancock County prosecutor spent a few hours in jail after being arrested on a misdemeanor charge of public drunkenness on the University of Mississippi campus on a football game day.

The Oxford Eagle reports (https://bit.ly/1SEnc0M ) that Lafayette County jail records show 45-year-old Olen Anderson of Bay St. Louis was arrested at about 5 p.m. Saturday by university police officers.

Records show he posted bond about 9 p.m. Saturday and was released from the jail.

Anderson did not immediately return a call from The Associated Press seeking comment Monday.
