WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - A 36-year-old man has been sentenced to nearly 6 years in prison for robbing 14 banks and other businesses in three states over a 6-week period.

Kent Buckson of Newark, Delaware, was sentenced Monday in federal court in Wilmington, Delaware.

Prosecutors say Buckson robbed six stores, three pharmacies, and five banks in Delaware, Maryland and Pennsylvania. The robberies took place in June and July in 2014.

In several of the crimes, prosecutors say, Buckson disguised himself as a woman.
