DAYTON, Ohio (AP) - Dayton police say a young boy was critically hurt in a drive-by shooting when someone opened fire on a southwest Ohio home.

Officers say the gunfire erupted late Saturday night while people were sitting in the living room of the home, and the boy was hit once. They say he’s believed to be 4 or 5 years old. No details about his injuries were immediately released.

The Dayton Daily News (https://bit.ly/1QoWieb ) reports the family took the boy to a children’s hospital, and no update on his condition was available.

Investigators marked at least 10 bullet holes in the front of the home. Police say they’re looking for witnesses who saw what happened.
