WARWICK, R.I. (AP) - The union representing faculty at the Community College of Rhode Island has rejected a tentative contract proposed by state education officials.

The Providence Journal reports (https://bit.ly/1Mt9o8w ) the president of the CCRI Faculty Association says more than 70 percent of members voted against the Council on Post-Secondary Education’s proposal.

The college’s full-time faculty have been working without a contract for more than two years. Another meeting is scheduled for Dec. 2.
