BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) - Burlington is enjoying unusually warm weather this year, with temperatures between 7 and 23 degrees higher than normal in November.

The Burlington Free Press reports (https://bfpne.ws/1Qp7Kq2 ) businesses downtown have been able to take advantage, as restaurants have been able to leave patios open, and tourists continue perusing local shops.

Andrew Loconto, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in South Burlington, says temperatures in Burlington last week approached record highs in the 70s that are more typically seen during June or September. He says the recent warm weather, though, is not a good predictor of the winter to come.

Burlington usually sees snow by Nov. 18 and Mount Mansfield has received three inches of snow.
