QUINCY, Ill. (AP) - Authorities say two members of a community college baseball team have died in a vehicle crash in western Illinois.

The Quincy Herald-Whig reports (https://bit.ly/1YR0hnr) that the John Wood Community College students died Wednesday night in the crash. Adams County Coroner James Keller identified the victims as 20-year-old Edrick Rivera of Brooklyn, New York, and 20-year-old Rilleyson Ignacio of Willestad, Curacao. He says they both died in the emergency room at a Quincy hospital.

Mike Elbe is president of the Quincy community college. He says two other students were injured in the crash.

Elbe says baseball coach Greg Wathen met with his players after the crash and the college would provide grief counseling.
