HOUMA, La. (AP) - State authorities say two Montegut men have been cited alleged oyster violations in a marsh area near Bayou Jean Lacroux in Terrebonne Parish.

Grant J. Leboeuf (luh-BUF’) and Travis J. Dardar, both 30, are accused of taking oysters from an unapproved polluted area.

State Department of Wildlife and Fisheries Enforcement Division agents said in a news release the men were observed dredging for oysters in the area, which was closed due to pollution.

Agents say the two men were found to be in possession of a sack of oysters, which agents returned to the water. They also seized the vessel and oyster dredges.
