CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - A state panel has approved a $3 million grant to help build a new passenger terminal at the Cheyenne Regional Airport.

The Wyoming Tribune Eagle reports (https://goo.gl/mOlz3N ) the State Loan and Investment Board voted 4-1 on Thursday to approve the grant from the Wyoming Business Council.

The investment board is made up of the top five elected officials in Wyoming: Gov. Matt Mead, Secretary of State Ed Murray, Treasurer Mark Gordon, State Auditor Cynthia Cloud and State Superintendent of Public Instruction Jillian Balow.

Gordon voted against the airport’s grant request.

The new terminal is expected to cost about $18 million and should be finished in 2017.
