ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - Albuquerque police say they’ve arrested six people in a large identity theft operation.

Police say organized crime unit detectives conducted a months-long investigation into the operation, leading to the arrests Wednesday and seizures from a location on the 7500 block of Aster Southwest.

According to police, the operation allegedly produced $60,000 of fraudulent and forged checks and victimized more than 100 people.

Two other people are being sought.
