CINCINNATI (AP) - Cincinnati State Technical and Community College has announced that Provost Monica Posey has been named the school’s interim president.

The Hamilton-Middletown Journal-News (https://bit.ly/1FEPCWM ) reports Posey will take over for Dr. O’dell Owens, who resigned last week to become the Cincinnati Health Department’s medical director.

Posey says she’s committed to serving the college community and its students. She has been at Cincinnati State in some capacity since 1992.

In her 23 years at the school, Posey’s positions include assistant dean, director of institutional research and planning, academic vice president and provost.

Posey received her doctorate from the University of Cincinnati and holds an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton Business School.
