THESSALONIKI, Greece (AP) - Eight visiting German fans have been arrested following clashes with Greek police that briefly stopped play during a Europa League match between PAOK and Borussia Dortmund in Thessaloniki.

No injuries were reported from the violence, which started when Borussia Dortmund supporters in the stands started throwing flares and fireworks at riot police keeping them apart from home fans.

The clashes forced play to be stopped for a few minutes in the second half. Thursday’s game ended in a 1-1 draw.
