HENRICO, Va. (AP) - A Henrico man who had been charged with arson after being accused of setting fire to his parents’ home has killed himself.

Henrico Sheriff Mike Wade tells the Richmond Times-Dispatch (https://bit.ly/1OIJ0sZ) that the Henrico Jail West staff found 19-year-old Lutalo Octave dead in his cell Sept. 19.

Police arrested Octave Aug. 14 and charged him with setting fire to the house. No one was injured, but the fire caused substantial damage.

Wade says Octave was on medication for schizophrenia but had passed an evaluation done to assess whether a person is suicidal.
