ELGIN, Ill. (AP) - Judson University in suburban Chicago will be getting the royal treatment next year.

In a news release, the Christian liberal arts university in Elgin says Queen Noor of Jordan will give the keynote address April 18 at the annual World Leaders Forum.

The American-born Noor is the widow of Jordan’s King Hussein. She has long been an advocate for cross-cultural understanding, human rights and other global issues such as climate change and poverty.

The 64-year-old Noor has received several awards and honorary doctorates and is the author of “Hussein of Jordan” and “Leap of Faith: Memoirs of an Unexpected Life.”

Previous World Leaders Forum speakers include former President George W. Bush, former Soviet President Mikhail Gorbachev and former British Prime Minister Tony Blair.
