HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (AP) - Authorities say a man has been charged with murder in the death of a University of Alabama in Huntsville student whose body was found in Georgia last week.

Al.com (https://bit.ly/1KXOxVL ) reported Thursday that 29-year-old Demitri Merci Jackson has been charged in the fatal shooting of 38-year-old Antonio Moore, a student and U.S. Navy veteran.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation said Moore’s partially decomposed body was found by hunters on Sept. 23 in a wooded area south of Franklin, Georgia. Moore was last seen or heard from around Aug. 28.

UAH spokesman Ray Garner says Moore of Huntsville and Jackson of Madison were full-time electrical engineering students at the university.

Police say the motive behind the incident is unclear. The investigation is still ongoing.
