DENVER (AP) - A man convicted of sexually assaulting and murdering a suburban Denver attorney has been sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

The Denver Post reported Thursday (https://goo.gl/asiIp7 ) that Warren Dale Watson was sentenced to life plus 334 years in prison for the March 2013 death of Lakewood attorney Claudia Miller.

Prosecutors say Watson fantasized about attacking a female attorney who practiced family law and planned the crime for months.

He pretended to be a doctor and used a fake name when he set up an appointment with the attorney. Miller was beaten and strangled, and police found her body in a storage room at her office building.

Watson was arrested days later in Caldwell, Idaho. He was convicted of first-degree murder, sexual assault and several other charges.
