TRENTON, N.J. (AP) - A justice on New Jersey’s state Supreme Court is expected to miss oral arguments for the next few months after undergoing eye surgery.

Court spokeswoman Winnie Comfort disclosed Justice Faustino Fernandez-Vina’s surgery on Thursday.

She says she could not provide details on the procedure but said he’s expected to have additional surgery soon.

She says the justice will not be at oral arguments before the court in coming months while he recovers. He is expected to continuing participating in conference with other justices as they decide which cases to take.
