SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) - Sentencing is scheduled for a man who caused a fatal alcohol-related crash in Syracuse and then cursed at police officers and the victim.

The Post-Standard of Syracuse reports (https://bit.ly/1N3N2fp ) 38-year-old Leonard Glowacki faces 8 1/3 to 25 years in prison when he’s sentenced Thursday for pleading guilty last month to aggravated vehicular homicide.

Police say Glowacki’s blood-alcohol content was more than twice the legal limit when his pickup truck plowed into another vehicle near an entrance to the Destiny USA mall on the night of Jan. 18.

The driver of the other vehicle, 19-year-old Kane Buss of Oneida, was killed. His girlfriend suffered serious injuries.

Police say after the crash Glowacki swore at officers at the scene in addition to cursing Buss, claiming the other driver had pulled out in front of him.
