GREENPORT, N.Y. (AP) - Authorities say a Brooklyn man was killed just three days after his wedding when his SUV veered into oncoming traffic and collided with a bus on eastern Long Island.

Police say 42-year-old Jeremiah Grünblatt was pronounced dead Wednesday at the scene of the Greenport crash. They say he and his wife, 39-year-old Keturah Grünblatt, were on their honeymoon.

Southold Police Chief Martin Flatley says that Keturah Grünblatt was a passenger in the compact station wagon. She was treated for injuries not considered life-threatening.

Police say a Suffolk County Transit bus was traveling east on Route 25 when the westbound car swerved into the path of the bus.

Flately says the bus driver suffered a leg injury. A passenger was treated for minor injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
