BILOXI, Miss. (AP) - A 16-year-old Biloxi High student is accused in the fatal shooting of his mother’s live-in boyfriend outside their home.
The Sun Herald reports (https://bit.ly/1QMpV6G) Biloxi police arrested the teen on a murder charge Tuesday after responding to a call for help. Police say the found a wounded man lying on the ground outside a town home.
Harrison County Deputy Coroner Bryan Switzer said 32-year-old Jeremy Lowery was taken to a hospital, where he died of a single gunshot wound to the head. Lowery was pronounced dead at 7:35 p.m. at Merit Health hospital.
Lowery lived at the home with his girlfriend and her children.
Police Lt. Christopher De Back declined to discuss a motive. He said the investigation continues.
