EVERETT, Pa. (AP) - Two teens have been ordered to stand trial as adults on charges they killed a western Pennsylvania woman for some marijuana, which they allegedly drove around smoking while she lay dying in the back seat.

A district judge in Bedford County on Wednesday ordered 17-year-old Deauntay Moye, of Woodbury, and 16-year-old Ryan Hardwick, of Martinsburg, to stand trial after Wednesday’s preliminary hearing. They’re accused of shooting and robbing 21-year-old Stephanie Waters during a marijuana deal on Jan. 8.

Their attorneys argued some charges should be dismissed because prosecutors couldn’t prove which teen did what. But District Attorney William Higgins argued both are guilty as accomplices of the criminal homicide and other charges, no matter which teen did what.

A Common Pleas judge had previously rejected attempts to move the case to juvenile court.
