ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) - A woman and a dog are dead following a wrong-way crash near Orlando.

The Florida Highway Patrol says they don’t know why the woman’s Infiniti was heading the wrong way down State Road 528 early Thursday morning.

The Orlando Sentinel (https://bit.ly/1FI1Iyg ) reports the car collided with a box truck and both vehicles caught fire, closing the road for more than five hours.

Troopers say the woman was trapped in the car. Officials are still trying to identify her.

The truck driver got out with minor injuries. Sgt. Kim Montes says the fire was too intense for him to try to help the woman.

Montes says the driver of a Cadillac swerved to miss the woman and crashed into a guardrail. The driver and passenger received minor injuries.
